Q.2 I want to pay by credit card or open a card account.
How can I be sure that all my card details will be safe?

A Chauffeurs is fully compliant with PCI DSS to Level 4 status.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a proprietary information security standard for organizations that handle branded credit cards from the major card schemes including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB. The PCI Standard is mandated and administered by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. The standard was created to increase controls around cardholder data to reduce credit card fraud. Validation of compliance is performed annually by an external Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) or by a firm specific Internal Security Assessor (ISA) that creates a Report on Compliance (ROC) for organizations handling card transactions

The purpose of such accreditation is to:

  • Build and maintain a secure network
  • Protect cardholder data
  • Maintain a vulnerability management programme
  • Implement strong access control measures
  • Regularly monitor and test networks
  • Maintain an information security policy

Q.3 How do I pay by credit card?

If paying by credit card then you need to advise of this at the time of booking. Once you are collected by one of our chauffeurs, they will call our office via handsfree phone and allow you to personally relay your card details direct to our account manager. These will then be securely profiled so that if you travel with us again we will already have your card details for processing. If you would prefer, you can call our offices prior to your transfer, or you can email your card details.
EA Chauffeurs operates a dedicated, encrypted mail server. Once we apply your card details we have no physical access to them. (Please refer to our PCI DSS compliance information in the previous question.)

Whether payment is by credit card or cash, as long as we have an email address for you – or the person who booked on your behalf – a receipt will be automatically emailed within 24hrs of any payment being processed. The receipt will provide a full breakdown of your journey details including the date, time and any additional charges. It will not include any card details.

Q.6 I would like to be met outside the terminal as I don’t wish to pay the airport parking charges.

Without exception all clients/passengers will be met inside the terminals at all airports – this does not levy any additional costs apart from those listed in general.
All airports – especially Heathrow – dictate that the areas outside of their terminals are for drop-off only and meeting and collecting passengers outside any of these terminals carries with it substantial fines for the driver and potential revocation of any operator’s licence.
